On the Left Bank of the Dniester/Nistru River, Republic of Moldova, sisters Alexandra and Elizaveta are carrying forward the story of Kislov Wine, a family winery whose roots date back to 1914. Today, they combine traditional winemaking practices with a new vision for expanding across the country and reaching wider markets.
Through the Peace Dividend Initiative (PDI) Moldova SME Acceleration Programme, supported by the Swiss Cooperation in Moldova, Kislov Wine has strengthened its marketing and online booking capabilities and benefited from tailored mentorship that helped refine its positioning, pricing, and business development approach.
By supporting women entrepreneurs to build on family heritage while developing a competitive business, the programme helps preserve local traditions, create economic opportunities, and strengthen economic connections across both banks of the Dniester/Nistru River — demonstrating how entrepreneurship can bring communities and markets closer together.
